Complaints about gas shortage merely highlight people’s lack of awareness

Wednesday, 20 January 2010

I AM disgusted to hear of the complaints about the lack of gas recently in East Barnet. Granted it was cold and came at an inconvenient time, but it was an unavoidable cause related to the freezing
temperature. Everything was done to restore the supply safely as soon as possible.

It was a massive task involving a large number of personnel who worked in the cold, over the Christmas week, often far from their homes.

Did anyone think of these men?

Do these grown adults who are complaining ever think of those on death marches 65 years ago, walking in snow, without adequate food or clothing or even those in the more recent disaster in Haiti? Grow up and be realistic about how fortunate you really are!
