A PARADE to mark Armed Forces Day was held at Hendon Town Hall.

Army reservists, cadets and veterans marched along St Josephs Grove and The Burroughs for the event before the mayor of Barnet, Mark Shooter, raised an Armed Forces Day flag.

POTTERS BAR overcame a remarkable last-wicket partnership to romp to a seven-wicket win at home to basement side Hemel Hempstead Town in the Premier Division of the Saracens Hertfordshire County Cricket League on Saturday.

The hosts looked to be on track for a routine win when they reduced Hemel Hempstead to 146-9, but Alistair Leighton and Richard Morton then joined forces for an astonishing unbroken stand which enabled them to get up to 270-9.
