TWO office workers from Golders Green swapped their desk for the open road when they joined thousands of other runners in the Virgin Sport British 10K around central London.

Book keeper Karen Wass and payroll senior Charu Makwana, who both work at accountancy firm Grunberg & Co, on Accommodation Road, raised money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Managing partner Robert Bean said: “They really put their heart and soul into completing this event and we would like to congratulate them on passing the finishing line.”

So far this year the firm has raised more than £1,500 for the hospital

Earlier this month, four staff members took part in the Cotswolds Challenge, and staff will also be participating in the Thames Bridges Challenge in September 2017.
