Motorcyclist dies and another is badly injured in late-night Enfield horror smash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision between a car and two motorcyclists in Edmonton last night (Wednesday).

One of the motorcyclists died and the other was left with potentially life-changing injuries following the incident on the A10 Great Cambridge Road at 11.13pm yesterday evening.

A third cyclist, aged 39, who is believed to have been travelling south along the dual carriageway with them, has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

He is currently in custody at east London police station

The driver of the car was not arrested, but is assisting police with their inquiries

The fatally injured motorcyclist was 26 years-old. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other motorcyclist, aged 30, was taken to an east London hospital after suffering potentially life-changing injuries.

The driver of the car was also taken to hospital after suffering minor injuries.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating. They are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or the events leading up to it to get in contact.
